About our Client

Our client is a second-year university student studying Health and Social Care. She has a diagnosis of Diplegia Cerebral Palsy and is a full-time electric wheelchair user.

Our client is looking for like-minded young PAs to assist her with day-to-day living and general support, helping her to lead as independent a life as possible. Someone who isn't afraid to take the reins and support her in travelling and navigating off campus is a must!

As written by her ..

"Even though I need support to encourage me to recognise what I am capable of, my independence is very important to me. However, my desire to be independent can hinder me as I have difficulty asking for help, even when I require it. I would appreciate someone who is able to prompt me and remind me that I should ask for help. Once we build a relationship and get to know each other, I would hope that we could come to an understanding of what we are both comfortable with.

As I build my confidence with socialising and going out and about both on and off campus, I would eventually like to increase my skills and independence when using public transport which is something that I will need support and encouragement with."
