X4 Technology are partnered with a leading financial services organisation who are offering the opportunity for a Project Manager to join their team on a day-rate contract basis with responsibility for delivering FCA regulatory initiatives focused on consumer credit, consumer duty and strengthening protections for borrowers in financial difficulty.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager (FCA Consumer Credit)
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading two FCA-mandated regulatory change initiatives. The first of these pertains to strengthening protections for borrowers in financial difficulty and will be focused on process and policy change. The second of these pertains to automotive sales data needing to be submitted to the FCA in quarterly reports; while still regulatory-led, this will involve some technology components too (eg capturing more information at point of origination). Both projects are in the initiation phase and will involve significant interaction with compliance, legal, credit risk and collection agency functions.

Requirements of the Project Manager (FCA Consumer Credit)
In order to be successful in the role, the client are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate the following:

  • Proven track record of successfully project managing FCA-mandated regulatory change in Tier 1 banks
  • Strong background of interfacing with the FCA and other regulators
  • Good knowledge of regulations pertaining to consumer credit, consumer duty and protecting vulnerable customers
  • Outstanding delivery expertise, including exceptional governance and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with or knowledge of automotive finance regulations would be nice to have but not essential
