Hertfordshire (Home and office working with site visits)

Salary £80,000 Per Annum Plus Benefits

Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday, Flexibility Negotiable)

Thrive Homes is looking for a Head of Asset Management to deliver the Asset strategy in line with the business plan.

You'll use wider intelligence to inform decisions on the portfolio, and bring innovative approaches to improve the performance for the business, while remaining compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Identify, support and deliver strategic portfolio realignment opportunities for under-performing assets.
  • Implement the Roadmap for Every Home, our asset appraisal framework, to achieve EPC-C and Net Zero carbon objectives.
  • To enhance and deliver a customer-centric service, consistent with the sector's changing ambition, seeking out opportunities to improve customer experience using technology, innovation and our colleagues.
  • Lead the Asset team to deliver our programmes efficiently and maintain good quality, safe homes for our customers.
  • Work with the Head of Repairs, to ensure a holistic approach to maintenance, minimising expenditure whilst improving the customer experience, improving flows and quality of decisions.
  • Understand the connection between property value, treasury requirements and financial inputs into the business plan to ensure Thrive is maximising its income, making investment decisions that, where possible, maximise the return on investment of available resource.
  • Support the development and implementation of a new asset management database and system.
  • Produce reporting to the business, committee and board as required.
  • Effectively manage contractors to deliver major works programmes, developing appropriate systems to improve the customer experience, quality and value for money.
  • In conjunction with our Business Risk and Assurance team provide assurance on the compliance of our homes to meet all legal and regulatory standards.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone also looking for a step up from a manager or Business Partner role.

Requirements:

  • We are flexible in how you have achieved your skills and experience, through education or through worked experience. Holding of being willing to work towards a foundation degree or level 5 qualification regulated by Ofqual in Housing Management is important.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering a high performing team across business of asset management, managing property portfolios with commercial awareness and delivering portfolio performance within business parameters
  • Demonstrable financial acumen and experience relevant to the role.
  • Experience of delivering Asset management and Green strategies.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership qualities that inspire and motivate colleagues and partners to deliver a reliable and professional services.
  • Extensive contract management or commensurate and equivalent commercial experience
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment and able to understand the evidence and assurance requirements needed by the board.
  • You must be able to support a culture founded in trust and respect for everyone.
