The role of Supply Chain Coordinator involves managing procurement and supply chain processes within the life science industry. This permanent position in Nottingham requires a detail-oriented individual to ensure smooth operations and supply chain efficiency.

Client Details

This is a permanent position, responsible for supporting all aspects of warehousing, goods in/out, and logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with warehouse and logistics personnel to ensure the smooth flow of daily operations and will play a key role in managing transport coordination and customer communication.

Description

  • Coordinating daily transport and logistics operations, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods
  • Communicating effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and third-party logistics providers
  • Managing transport bookings, delivery manifests, and all relevant documentation
  • Monitoring delivery progress and proactively resolving delays or logistical issues
  • Maintaining regular customer communication on delivery schedules and responding to queries
  • Ensuring full compliance with transport regulations and internal company policies
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems and reporting tools
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer service queries related to logistics and deliveries

Profile

A successful Supply Chain Coordinator should have:

  • Proven experience in a supply chain, logistics, or transport coordination role (1-3 years preferred)
  • Good knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics best practices
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (working knowledge required; Syteline experience desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing supply chain challenges with a team-focused attitude
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs documentation
