Restaurant Supervisor - up to £35K Newmarket Rossette/Fine dining background required.
Our retained client is seekinga dedicated, experienced food & wine focused Restaurant Supervisor to join the team of this celebrated Restaurant in the heart of Suffolk. As a Supervisor, you will work closely with the Manager to overseeing the day-to-day operations on the restaurant floor, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service.
This restaurant currently holds multiple awards and creates outstanding dishes inspired by the Suffolk countryside, using the best ingredients to serve you inventive dishes which are full of passion and quality.
A big focus of this role will be to assume responsibility for the wine and food service within the Restaurant, you don't have to be a Sommelier but a solid base knowledge would be an advantage!
About the job:
- Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth running of operations
- Oversee the Wine and food service within the restaurant
- Supervise the restaurant team during service
- Train and mentor new staff members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of service provided to guests and address any issues or concerns promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery
About you:
- WSET Level 2 + would be an advantage
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a quality/fine dining restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
