Planner

We are working alongside a leading construction contractor based around Leeds, with a significant project pipeline throughout Yorkshire. They have a number of significant schemes beginning through the rest of summer and towards winter, including commercial, residential, and industrial. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Planner to join the dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.

Role Overview:

As a Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your role will involve close collaboration with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to drive project planning excellence across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project schedules using Asta Powerproject.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate schedule tracking and forecasting.
  • Identify potential delays and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and assess project risks.
  • Assist in resource allocation to optimise project delivery.
  • Support tender planning and bid submissions with detailed time schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Planner in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Asta Powerproject is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or related field.
