Interim Head of Finance - Multi Academy Trust - Outside IR35
Macildowie is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a medium sized multi academy trust who are looking for an individual to support them for a period of 6 months as part of their wider strategic objective to move to a centralised setup. Please note they are open to engaging an individual on an outside IR35 basis for this assignment.
This role is reporting into the CFO and will be focussed on one specific school within the trust working with the current Head teacher and also School Business Manager. This role requires a qualified finance professional to dig into and review the numbers ahead of the change of operating model.
This would suit a Financial Controller/ Head of Finance or above level individual who is happy to be hands on and has experience of or the ability to turn around a function from a finance perspective.
The day to day will involve management accounting for the school, working through income and expenditure as well as the statutory returns for ESFA.
Benefits
- £350-£450 per day via ltd company OR equivalent to up to c£90,000 if prefer to work PAYE
- Hybrid working - 3 days per week on site (able to be on site more if wanted)
Minimum Requirements
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Multi Academy Trust knowledge and experience either directly or indirectly as a trustee for multiple years
- Willing to be hands on and the interpersonal skills to manage non finance stakeholders amongst a challenging backdrop
- Available to start within the next 4-6 weeks
