Pay: £38,000 - £39,540 per annum

Reed - Further Education are seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to teach mixed levels of Electrical Installation.

What's the day-to-day responsibilities of an Electrical Installation Lecturer?

  • To act as a Programme Tutor for a caseload of full-time and/or part-time students.
  • To assure the quality of the student learning experience by effective delivery of formal scheduled teaching and tutorials paying due regard to student progression towards successful completion.
  • To embrace new learning technologies/ILT and implement the same within own teaching.
  • Manage and maintain student morale and discipline, working closely with college managers, and the team to assure an appropriate learning environment.
  • To record and report in an accurate and timely manner data and information, including eILPs, e-registers, assessments, and student progress records.
  • Ensure teaching file is effectively maintained to ensure schemes of work, lesson plans and progress tracking documents meet robust quality assurance procedures.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Teaching qualification i.e. AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education (or willingness to get one)
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or related qualification.
  • Previous Industry Experience
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
