Location: Telford, Shropshire

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum + annual bonus

We are delighted to be supporting this prestigious global energy company in their search for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join the fast-paced wider Payroll team based in Telford.

As Payroll Specialist, you will be a key team member and be responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing using SAP, supporting a diverse workforce of over 4,100 employees in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage E2E payroll for a large employee base, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal/company policies.
  • Process new hires, terminations, and any changes to employee data in the SAP payroll system.
  • Verify time and attendance records, including overtime, leave, and deductions.
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, such as bonuses, commissions, and statutory payments.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciling data to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processing and resolve any payroll-related queries.
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively managing payroll-related tickets in the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and promote gender equality within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, processing payroll for a large number of employees.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Payroll and HRIS and ideally Cronos
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, taxation, and employment legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong customer service skills for effectively managing payroll-related tickets.
  • Commitment to sustainability and promoting gender equality.

This role is offered on a hybrid work schedule, with two days in the office (Mon-Tues) and the rest working from home.
