Reed Accountancy & Finance are in search of an experienced Interim Senior Management Accountant to provide essential support to our client based in Kings Hill. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and analytical individual with a strong background in management accounting and a passion for the non-profit sector.
**Senior Management Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and year-end accounts.
- Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability.
- Liaise with external auditors, providing all required information for annual audits.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and process improvements.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and provide financial training and support as needed.
- Oversee and mentor junior finance staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous development.
**Senior Management Accountant Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in management accounting, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
