Traffic Manager

Walker and Sloan are proud to be working once again with a well-known B2B marketing agency in central London. Due to some fantastic growth, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Traffic Manager to the team on a full time basis. The role can be hybrid with 3/4 days in their offices.

The Role

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a dynamic Traffic Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will be responsible for orchestrating the smooth flow of customer work from initiation to completion, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our efforts. The Traffic Manager will lead the planning, tracking, and management of work & projects, work closely with different departments to find & allocate resources wisely, and ensure all project deadlines are met. Responsibilities

  • Resource Allocation: Assign tasks and projects to appropriate team members and freelancers based on their skills, availability, and workload capacity.
  • Scheduling: Create and maintain schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met and that there is a clear understanding of project timelines.
  • Workflow Management: Develop and enforce workflows and processes to streamline progression of work from initiation to completion.
  • Communication: Act as a central point of contact between different teams, departments, and clients, ensuring that information flows smoothly and that everyone is informed of project status.
  • Prioritisation: Assess project priorities and allocate resources accordingly to meet critical deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address potential bottlenecks or delays in project execution and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all necessary approvals and reviews are completed before delivery to clients or stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with clients (where required) or stakeholders regarding project progress, timelines, and changes or updates.
  • Process improvement: Surface and report on workflow process challenges
  • Project manage (customer facing where required) larger projects that have lots of moving parts/inputs outputs / multiple teams, for example website builds
  • System Super User: Be the champion within Gripped for the systems we use. Guide others on how to use systems effectively and feed new requirements into the systems & processes.
  • Training & Documentation: Ensure that guides are kept up to date which supports the processes above, training individuals and teams and taking onboard feedback and translating that into process or system improvement requirements where required
  • Resource Sourcing: Work with internal stakeholders to understand the skills required to deliver customer work. Source appropriate internal and help support external (freelance) talent to execute work
  • Capacity Planning: Proactively keep teams abreast of work coming towards them (existing and new business) and ensure teams are thinking about how work could be delivered should that work land.

Experience & skills required

  • At least 2 years experience in a traffic role in an agency
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • An ability to prioritise in real time
  • Demonstrable use of resourcing tools to support the processes to do the job
  • Clear written & verbal communication skills
