Job Title: Assistant Production Manager - Packhouse
Location: Ashford
Shifts: 4 days per week, 6 am - 5 pm with alternate weekends
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate the production staff to ensure smooth operations and high productivity levels.
- Production Planning: Organise and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines and business demands, coordinating closely with sales, technical, and warehouse teams.
- Project Management: Lead department projects focused on productivity, training, and personnel matters, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality, address issues promptly, and ensure all specifications are followed throughout production.
- Problem Solving: Tackle production challenges efficiently to maintain order fulfilment while upholding product standards.
- Maintenance Management: Oversee the upkeep and repair of production equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Administrative Duties: Ensure that all production records and paperwork are accurately completed and maintained daily.
- Deputising: Act as the Evening Shift Manager when needed, ensuring continuity in operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to relay instructions and collaborate with various departments.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting production issues.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage time, schedules, and deadlines efficiently.
- Experience in production management and familiarity with IT and numerical data analysis.
- Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a positive and productive attitude.
