NJR Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a well-established, Independent Financial Planning company that, due to expansion, are looking for an experienced Administrator to lead a team of financial planning administrators who support a number of Advisers on a day to day basis in their offices in Wakefield.

The successful candidate will be joining a company who have built up an excellent reputation within the industry for their high quality approach to their clients, and ongoing support and training for their staff.

Responsibilities will include

  • Allocation of daily, weekly and monthly tasks across the team using the Intelligent Office system.
  • Training of new and less experienced members of the Adviser Support team and the wider business.
  • Maintenance of holiday, sickness and other absence records.
  • Helping colleagues understand the requirements of submitting work requests to the team correctly.
  • Processing paper based and complex business where online applications cannot be made.
  • Completing the 'post implementation' of all investment and pension related new business.
  • Actioning letters of authority/appointment and obtaining plan information from product providers
  • General office administration

What we need from you:

  • In depth understanding of the administrative function within the Financial Services industry, acquired over a minimum of 5 years by working in a Financial Advice practise or similar
  • Working knowledge of complex product administration, including AIM IHT Mitigation schemes, Discounted Gift Trusts, Lifestyle Trusts and Pension Drawdown
  • Previous experience in a team leader/manager position within financial planning is essential
  • Ability to support and train others using effective communication, demonstration and training techniques
  • Ideally a working knowledge of Intelligent Office and key Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
