Hourly Rate: £15.92 PAYE
Contract Length: 3 months
Location: Office-based, Bolton
DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS required

Are you experienced in supporting homeless individuals in temporary accommodation settings? Do you have a proven track record of making a real difference in people's lives during times of crisis? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting for an Accommodation Support Officer to join our client's team in Bolton. This vital role supports the Local Authority in discharging its duty to those presenting as homeless, working within hostel environments and across various temporary accommodation types including council-owned and spot-purchased properties.

?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Make placements into temporary accommodation for individuals and families in housing crisis.
  • Manage your own caseload, ensuring clients access necessary support services.
  • Proactively seek secure move-on accommodation for clients.
  • Provide support and guidance on benefits, budgeting, and life skills.
  • Liaise with internal and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Assist with safeguarding, anti-social behaviour management, and emergency placements.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to administrative duties.

?? Working Pattern:

  • Shift-based role following training:

  • 5 days on / 3 days off

  • 4 late shifts on / 4 days off

  • Includes on-call duties, with additional shift allowances and standby payments.

? Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with homeless clients in temporary accommodation.
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex cases.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance required.
