Job Vacancy: Cleaning Bay Operative
Location: Leigh-on-Sea
Hourly Rate: £11.44
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Reports to: Cleaning Bay Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand work instructions, maintenance manuals, operating procedures, and customer specifications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of process paperwork and parts control.
- Perform disassembly of aircraft wheel and brake parts according to maintenance manuals.
- Dismount aircraft tires safely and efficiently.
- Clean aircraft wheels and brakes using specialized cleaning machines.
- Clean structural and component parts of aircraft wheels and brakes.
- Operate media blasters for effective paint removal.
- Maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
- Adapt to various shifts in response to customer needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous engineering experience is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and take instruction.
- GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent) is required.
- Applicants must be fit and healthy, as the job is physically demanding.
- A forklift truck license is preferable but not essential.
- No prior aviation experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
