Role: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Thornton Heath, Croydon
Hours: Full time - Monday - Friday (8:30AM - 4:00PM)
Start date: September 2024
£87 - £105 daily rate

Tempest Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work at one of our partner primary schools in Croydon! Your role will be providing support to a variety of children in KS1/2 on a 1:1, 1:2 and small group basis who are diagnosed with Autism and additional learning needs.
To thrive as a Learning Support Assistant, you need to have:
- A genuine passion for supporting students with higher needs.
- Previous experience working with SEN children.
- Have a natural enthusiasm for working with children.
- The ability to monitor and record a child's progress.
- An understanding of safeguarding children.
- A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude.
Duties include (but aren't limited to):
- 1:1 support with a child or small groups of children.
- Supporting the class as well as assisting the class teacher as and when needed.
- Building and maintaining relationships with parents.
- Supervising children during activities
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Ensuring children are motivated to learn!
