A great opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our team, and support our Facilities Manager in leading 'Enclave: Croydon', our brand-new, market leading, 50-storey Co-Living tower in Croydon.

Operational Duties

Operating within a team of 3 Maintenance Operatives, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.

  • Operating within a team of 3 Maintenance Operatives, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager.
  • Supporting the Facilities Manager with the completion and allocation of maintenance requests.
  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance, completing training as necessary to help complete relevant tasks.
  • Ensuring timely completion of reactive repairs and maintenance across the development, reporting any issues or trends.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Skilled in the use of hand & power tools, common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience in carpentry.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to read & understand blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues as necessary.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Confident in the use of smart technology is preferable.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Strong time management skills.
