Position: Full-Time Geography Teacher

Location: Secondary School, Greenwich

Description: A reputable secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team for the new school year starting in September 2024. This is a full-time, long-term position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys.

Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of the Geography curriculum, ensuring it is up-to-date and meets educational standards.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Design and administer assessments, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress to ensure academic success.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, fostering a love for learning and respect among students.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in Geography education.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and best practices for effective teaching.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum and educational standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
