Job Purpose
- Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, with a keen focus on advisory work
- Oversee the provision of M&A transactions, tax due diligence, share option schemes, R&D claims and other advisory work
- Manage all commercial aspects of your portfolio, ensuring all fees are issues in a timely manner
- Work closely with Tax Partner to maximise fee income and supervise work in progress and billing for the department
- Analyse and interpret data and prepare tax advice based on findings
- Lead liaison with HMRC on behalf of clients, proactively handling enquiries
- Oversee junior staff, including monitoring workflow, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities
- Proactively investigate and identify opportunities for the firm and clients
- Lead by example to promote and preserve a positive team culture

Job Requirements
- ATT / CTA qualified or part-qualified
- Qualified by experience also considered
- Demonstrable experience in a corporate tax supervisory role within practice
- Experience in person tax and VAT is desirable, but not essential
- Strong track record of portfolio management experience, with an advisory focus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good leadership and people management skills
- Strong understanding of current tax and general accounting UK regulations
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines
- Good time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
- Sound IT skills to efficiently carry out work
- Comfortable seeking advice in order to minimise risks
