Location: Milton Keynes

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical engineering to transition into a hands-on role in our workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective solutions for repair.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles/equipment to identify any potential problems.
  • Repair and replace defective parts/components using hand and power tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workshop.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a mechanical role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and components is advantageous.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
