Our client, a well established and respected Manufacturer based in Plymouth are looking to employ an experienced Improvement Engineer to progress proactive maintenance tasks and improvements to production.
Main Duties:
- Near misses/safety culture actions, safety meeting tasks.
- Audit findings and actions.
- Contractor liaison.
- Offline repairs/rebuilds.
- Work with production teams online improvements.
- Planned maintenance tasks; making use of planned line downtime (and short notice unscheduled) and working with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure a greater number of 'at work 'tasks due to downtime limitations.
- Adding additional inspection tasks in areas such of machinery.
- Assist Shift engineers if required.
- Liaise with Engineering Manager and Engineering Stores controller on identifying parts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Apprentice trained in an electrical or mechanical discipline desirable with associated qualification.
- Relevant experience in an engineering role.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communicator, able to accurately document findings.
- Ability to understand specifications and measure accurately.
- Fabrication skills beneficial.
- Panel building skills beneficial.
