About the Role:
Our client, a Global Management Consultancy are seeking a highly skilled Prime Broker to join their banking client for up to 12 months. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Financial Services, with specific experience in equity financing, stock loan, and equity swaps. Prior experience in an investment banking environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage middle office operations for equity financing and Prime Broker services, including trade support and settlements
  • Investigate and resolve breaks within Prime Broker and Equity Derivatives transactions, ensuring seamless operations
  • Provide exceptional client and business stakeholder communication and service, acting as a key contact for Prime Broker Synthetics operations
  • Oversee corporate actions, particularly those related to dividends in the equity synthetics business
  • Support the onboarding process, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices
  • Prioritise risk management and effectively handle escalation procedures as needed

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an investment banking environment, with a minimum of experience in the Financial Services sector. They should possess a strong understanding of Prime Broker operations, equity financing, and equity derivatives.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in equity swap middle office operations or an equivalent role.
  • Strong break investigation skills and a basic understanding of equity synthetics and corporate actions.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with excellent time management skills.

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in client or business stakeholder-facing roles
  • Familiarity with onboarding processes within financial services
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in client service
  • Expertise in risk prioritisation and escalation management
