?? About the Job:
As a Technical Sales Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the sales team based in central London. You will have the opportunity to create best-in-class technical designs to support the organisation's sales growth journey. Your focus will be on both commercial viability and technical proficiency, ensuring that execution aligns with client expectations. Additionally, you will have the chance to shape the department's future by developing processes, procedures, and implementing necessary tools and systems.
?? Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership and innovation in design, drawing office, and technical information for bids, ensuring delivery to top-tier quality standards.
- Maintain appropriate resource levels to optimise efficiency and employee utilisation.
- Develop a talent pool to meet increasing demands and ensure sufficient technical competencies.
- Cultivate professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the product roadmap and achieve required accreditations.
- Coordinate successful bid formulations and presentations, collaborating with project managers and directors to allocate resources effectively.
- Lead the design team to maintain a best-in-class engineering design capability, combining innovative and long-standing solutions to meet client requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements, utilising quantitative and qualitative measurements.
- Manage project technical documentation in alignment with bid and project milestones.
- Oversee risk management throughout the bid design and project delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct project launch meetings to establish scope and allocate resources correctly.
?? Experience, Licences & Qualifications:
- BSc in an engineering discipline and/or BA in Business Management or equivalent
- Experience in an engineering environment, with a focus on electrical, control, and instrumentation.
- MUST HAVE previous experience with electronic security systems and solutions.
- MUST HAVE experience with technical design and CAD
- Technical expertise in design and project delivery.
- Experience in project or technical team management.
- Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Full UK driving licence.
