Job Description:

Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer with commercial maintenance
experience? Are you looking for a company to offer up skilling and training?

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer who has experience working
within commercial environments carrying out all areas of Electrical
maintenance (Mobile role and static role) and minor remedial tasks. This is mainly a Monday to Friday
role but will require some weekend work and call outs. This will be focused on various
commercial sites, the role will be covering Bournemouth and the surrounding
areas.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Qualification in either of these are preferred but not essential and clients will look at someone who has time served experience.

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Technology (the main one that includes AM2, ECS, Gold Card, C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection) = ideal qualification
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection
  • The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018, wiring regs, the regs) - 17th edition is the slightly older/out of date version but is still accepted by some clients
  • PAT testing

Day to Day Duties:

  • Lighting- Change of lamps and ballasts
  • Emergency light testing
  • Power distribution
  • Electrical fault-finding
  • Small works - new sockets, new lights, new circuits
  • PAT Testing
  • Control Panel maintenance
  • Transformers
  • Star Delta Starters
