Senior Data Analyst - £70-80,000+Benefits – 12 month FTC – London/Hybrid

My client are a leading Global Specialist Insurance company working within the Lloyds of London syndicate. Due to continued and exciting growth we have a number of positions we are recruiting fro to further improve and streamline the business.

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to sit within the Data & Analytics team and report to the ‘Head of Data & Analytics'.

This role of Senior Data Analyst will be hands on, working with stakeholders to understand their requirements, conducting digital analysis on multiple sources of data, developing analytics solutions to deliver value and providing insights. We have a large project to move to a new Data Platform (Snowflake) and you will play a large part in moving all our data to the new platform.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making within the company by providing actionable insights and analysis. Your primary focus will be on improving the business intelligence infrastructure, focusing on Strategy and developing advanced analytical models, and identifying key trends and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.

Main Duties

  • Understand how data informs business strategy and combine this understanding with data expertise to deliver new insights and incremental value
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports, dashboards, and presentations that effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders
  • Regularly present findings to internal directors, explaining the implications and potential impact on business strategies
  • Assist the business in the understanding of the use of data, which improves business decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that provide valuable information to stakeholders
  • Help make the move to Snowflake Data Platform
  • Be an ambassador for Data & Analytics, advocate for the data strategy, data skills and best practices
  • Be an advocate of data governance and ethical use of data and building trust with partners
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements for regulatory compliance and reporting to various bodies with which Chaucer interact
  • Provide data to fulfil regulatory requirements and improve the process through automation where appropriate
