Job Description:
We are currently seeking a handyman labourer to join our clients team in Cambridge. Within this role you will be helping out other trades keep area and site tidy. Must be physically fit as you will be moving furniture to and from temporary storage units, while also carrying out small works in the properties including plastering, boxing in and changing taps etc.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic handyman tasks including boxing in, snagging, patch plastering and changing and fixing taps
- Must be able to move furniture to temporary storage and back
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance professionals to address broader property maintenance issues.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and colleagues.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience as a handyman, preferably in social housing or a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of working in void properties and carrying out tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
