Major Players are working with a dynamic corporate events agency specialising in delivering innovative and memorable events for a diverse range of clients, including financial institutions, professional services, and charity partners.

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee the full project lifecycle of multiple accounts in virtual, in-person, and hybrid capacities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on project management, ensuring seamless delivery from initial brief to post-event reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects from brief, planning, and onsite delivery to post-event reconciliation and debriefing.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business, culture, competitors, and event strategies.
  • Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations.
  • Act as a thought partner to stakeholders, sharing best practices and recommendations for suppliers, venues, and services.
  • Proactively address challenges, providing calm and effective solutions.
  • Manage project setup, contracts, management fees, and budgets, ensuring adequate resourcing and contingency planning.
  • Monitor and report on the GP output of each project, maximising profit, and efficiency.
  • Work closely with Account Directors on the growth and development of key accounts and our service offerings.
  • Support team development through appraisals, feedback, training, and workload management.
  • Lead and contribute to pitches and proposals to support agency growth.
  • Ensure adherence to agency templates and guidelines, championing best practices and quality standards.
  • Stay updated with industry news and represent the agency at relevant events to raise our profile and enhance your knowledge.

Candidate Profile:

  • Comfortable in a smaller, agile agency environment with a passion for agency life.
  • Believes in the importance of a collaborative team setting and has a growth mindset.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager / Project Director.
  • Experience delivering a variety of event types, both in the UK and overseas, including logistically complex programs.
  • Strong skills in building long-term client relationships that generate repeat and increased business growth.
  • Approachable and adaptable to changing needs and working styles.
  • Solutions-focused, working collaboratively to navigate challenges.
  • Extensive experience working with creative, content, and production partners.
  • Proficient with IT systems and strong financial and budget management skills.
  • Enthusiastic about the events and creative industries, actively participating in industry developments.
