Hays are delighted to be supporting a niche construction and installation organisation based in West Birmingham who are part of a larger group to recruit their next Financial Controller. The company are market leaders in their field and offer superb progression. The role is office-based.
Your new role
As Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day control of the finance function and manage a team of 4 people. Key duties will include overseeing the monthly P&L production and trial balance. You will manage a team of 4 across credit control, purchase ledger and sales ledger and oversee teh control of these functions. You will also check all expenses and payroll management and deal with all tax and statutory compliance. This role will be the main point of contact for the auditors, including management of subcontractor reports.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant with a proven track record of a financial controller role. Knowledge of working within a larger SME or PLC would be preferable alongside knowledge of ERP systems. You will also have a proven track record of people leadership.
