?? Key Responsibilities: ??
- �?? Determining compliance with building regulations and associated legislation by conducting thorough assessments of submitted applications and carrying out necessary consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
- ?? Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, building regulations, government guidance, and best practise technical guidance necessary for the role.
- ? Carrying out site inspections to ensure constructed works are in compliance with statutory legislation and guidance.
- ?? Preparing statements of evidence and acting as an expert witness in relevant legal proceedings.
- �? Taking the lead on major developments, including key regeneration initiatives and pre-application discussions.
- ?? Deputising for the Building Control Manager when required and assisting with the audit and review of processes and procedures.
?? Qualifications and Skills: ??
- �? Full registration as a Registered Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator, Class 2d or higher.
- ??? Excellent communication skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including the public, developers, statutory bodies, council departments, and elected officials.
- ?? Proven ability to work independently and manage heavy workloads.
- ?? Commitment to continuous learning and development to stay updated with industry trends and best practises.
- ?? Valid driving licence to undertake site visits and inspections.
