Domestic Supervisor

About The Role
You will be working predominantly Monday to Friday 1 weekend per month, 09:00 to 17:00, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Health & Safety Duties:

  • Participate in any communication activities through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas.
  • Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions
  • Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out your duties and responsibilities.Acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.
  • Take responsibility for reviewing the safe system of work prior to the commencement of the work activity.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Raise any concerns over Health & Safety breaches in accordance with Company Procedure.
  • Group Safety Support: You will be required to work closely with the Group Health and Safety team who are available to provide safety advice and support.Furthermore, you will be required to ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:

  • To create and maintain discipline on a contract site in order that the agreed specification is carried out within set budgets.
  • To liase with customer contracts (ward and department heads etc) in order to meet their expectations on the specified service.
  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest possible standard at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies at all times.
  • Maintain health and safety standards.
  • The daily allocation, control a supervision off staff in their area.
  • Induct, instruct, train and develop staff.

Critical Performance Measures (CPMs) / Objectives:

  • To maintain your personal hygiene within acceptable standards
  • To ensure you observe and abide by all local rules and policies relevant to the site where you work
  • You must report to your supervisor if for any reason you cannot complete the service
  • To perform any other duties which may be reasonably required by your line manageror the company
  • Maintain full compliance with NHS Cleaning standards 2021 requirements for which you have a responsibility
  • All staff must ensure they are fully compliant with infection control policies and procedures which include
  • Attendance at mandatory training
  • Take all reasonable care to minimise the likely hood of healthcare-associated infections occurring to patients, visitors and staff (including yourself) as a consequence of actions and /or omissions at work
  • Co-operate with ICS in ensuring that all statutory and other requirements are complied with-in particular compliance with the health act 2006: Code of practise for the prevention and control of healthcare -associated infections

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 3 in healthcare and BICS Cleaning certificate. Not essential as training will be provided.
  • Cleaning and supervisory experience desired.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.
  • Must have experience working in NHS and be familiar with the FR ratings.
