Job Title: Temporary Team Leader for Train Parts Overhaul Contracts

Contract Type: Temporary, likely to extend, chance of going perm

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm

Pay: £13-£15 per hour

Ad-hoc Overtime: Paid at 1.5x of the standard rate

The role:

  • Supervisory role
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with the required standards
  • Handle paperwork, including filling in test sheets
  • Transition paperwork to digital formats
  • Proficiency in Excel beneficial for the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of two individuals
  • Assemble and adjust various components on-site
  • Collaborate with other team members and outside customers to plan work steps
  • Monitor availability of parts, tools, and machines needed for assembly process
  • Conduct test routines and procedures
  • Assist in resolving routine manufacturing-related problems

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience with milling and turning (ideal)
  • Time served Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Proficiency in Excel (beneficial)
