Lettings Valuer

We are currently recruiting for an exciting Lettings Valuer for a very well-established Estate Agency of over 40 years based in Welwyn Garden City. Always offering excellent customer service to their clients they also pride themselves on their excellent local market knowledge, providing first class Estate Agency, Letting Agency, and New Homes to various locations.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of success in negotiating lettings contracts with at least 5 years' experience. You will be responsible for generating new business in a highly competitive market, so drive and determination is essential, as well as having the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

You must have a driving licence with access to your own car.

Salary package and benefits for the role of Lettings Valuer include:

  • Basic £28,000
  • OTE £40,000 - £45,000
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am - 5pm

Key responsibilities for the role of the Lettings Valuer include:

  • Negotiating lettings contracts
  • Generating new business
  • Turning enquiries into actual business
  • Prospecting on a daily basis
  • Building the market share
  • Be up to date with current compliance and legislation including a full understanding of the Housing Act
  • Create new opportunities
  • Creating and maintaining excellent relationships with tenants and landlords
  • Negotiating offers
  • Guiding and advising tenants and landlords with accurate and up to date information
  • Always providing an exceptional service

The skills and experience required for the role of Lettings Valuer include:

  • 5 years + experience within Lettings
  • Possess an ARLA qualification, or be working towards this currently
  • Proactive, driven and ambitious
  • Accomplished at winning new business
  • Experience in negotiating contracts
  • A good background in managing and mentoring staff
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • The ability to work under pressure in a busy fast paced environment
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills and a meticulous attention to detail
  • Engaging, informative and passionate
  • Outstanding customer service skills
