As a specialist SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting our student's individual needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist SEN Tutor to join our team. As a SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, developmental delays, and disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualised learning plans and strategies based on student's needs and goals
  • Assess student's strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for improvement
  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions that accommodate different learning styles
  • Use appropriate teaching techniques and resources to support student's learning
  • Adapt and modify teaching materials to suit student's abilities and interests
  • Monitor and track student's progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in SEN education

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Must be a qualified Teacher
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs
  • In-depth knowledge of various SEN conditions and appropriate teaching strategies
  • Familiarity with the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEN
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
