Interim Senior Accountant

Our client, a prominent and dynamic company in the South-West, is looking for an Interim Senior Accountant to join their progressive team on a full-time, temporary basis.
In this role, you will support senior staff by producing monthly management accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping to streamline financial software to ensure best practices.
The responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring they are completed within strict deadlines to maintain financial accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct detailed analysis of results, trends, and margins, incorporating both financial and non-financial data to provide comprehensive insights.
- Collect and compile relevant information, generating reports to support and inform key business decisions and strategies.
- Prepare thorough monthly reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurately balanced and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Maintain and update short-term cash flow forecasts, ensuring the business has a clear understanding of its financial position.
- Assist the FP&A team by providing necessary data for budget preparation, helping to create accurate and informed financial plans.
- Audit
The candidate:
- Qualified accountant, ideally with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, handling a diverse array of responsibilities.
- Proficient in computer skills, especially MS Excel (managing and building spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas).
- Proven ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently, with experience in supporting and mentoring staff.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills, capable of building strong relationships internally and externally.
