Office Angels are currently recruiting for a PR Account Executive for our client based in Reading.
Role: PR Account Executive
Location: Earley, Reading
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
The Role:
PR
- Maintain a good understanding of each client and their products
- Regularly flag up key points of category knowledge, competitors and trends
- Demonstrate understanding of consumer behaviour and differentiated channels/approaches
- Have a great all round knowledge of media including national, lifestyle, specialist, broadcast etc
- Know key media and influencer contacts
- Identify new contacts and opportunities
- Negotiate and understand changes to the contracts
- Target media slots, platforms and influencers
- Draft responses to the media, influencers, client, consumers and partners enquiries
- Obtaining data to hit feature deadlines
- Own the advance feature process
- Research and explore local suppliers
- Draft design, photographic and other briefs
- Write consumer and trade news releases
- Draft tactical adverts and boosting plans
- Implement social boosting and advertising campaigns, monitoring and suggesting insightful changes
- Provide new ideas both within and outside a brainstorm situation
- Provide new and different story angles to secure consumer and channel coverage
Business Development
- Involvement in writing new business and client proposals
- Creating new case studies from recent projects
- Maintain and take responsibility for project budgets
Account Management
- Identify and justify campaign audiences and platforms that they play on
- Monitor and communicate progress of each account and campaign
- Acts as a mentor for Junior Account Executives
- Handle and resolve simple enquiries from clients on copy or campaign plan updates
The ideal candidate:
- Previous and demonstrable experience as a PR Account Manager role or similar position
- Strong copywriting skills
- Display perseverance and the ability to be persuasive
- Understand consumer audiences and behaviours on social platforms to be able to advise on the right platforms
- Manage own time and workload efficiently and effectively
- Display understanding of campaign strategy
