Are you a skilled and experienced Radiographer with a passion for breast imaging? Join East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and become a key part of our expert breast care team. They are seeking a B8 Mammographer who will provide leadership and advanced clinical practice in breast imaging services.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver expert breast imaging services, including mammography interpretation, ultrasound, and breast interventional procedures (biopsies, cyst aspirations, etc.).
  • Provide clinical leadership, support and consultancy to the breast imaging team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals including radiologists, surgeons, oncologists, and pathologists.
  • Participate in and present breast imaging findings at multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Ensure the highest standard of patient care, maintaining dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Lead the development of breast imaging protocols and contribute to research, audit, and service development.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

Qualifications: HCPC registered with a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography and Postgraduate qualifications in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast interventional techniques, and image interpretation.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in breast imaging, including clinical leadership, independent reporting, and participation in multidisciplinary meetings.

Skills: Ability to work under pressure, manage complex workloads, and demonstrate advanced communication and problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous professional development is essential.

Desirable: Masters award in breast evaluation, teaching qualifications, and experience in clinical research.
