HR Business Partner

Tailor Made are excited to be recruiting for a leading engineering company in Burnley. They are a well-established and are leader in their field. They are seeking a HR Business Partner to join their HR team.

You will is to add value to the company by building relationships and by driving the development and implementation of HRHealth and Safety best practice. Work with the HR team to create new and improve current HR policies, processes, and procedures. Ensure the organisation complies with current employment law, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision.

You will build highly effective, mutually respectful and trusting relationships with Senior Management and be responsible for the establishing the company's policies, procedures, and culture in line with the short and long-term strategy.

The role:

  • Evaluate, develop, implement and maintain HR strategies, policy and procedures including coordinating and carry out audits and surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of HR policy, systems, procedures and practices
  • Design and develop, plan and coordinate HR policies and procedures
  • Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior managers
  • Create a coaching and mentoring relationships with senior managers
  • Develop, Implement HR reporting using HR recording and monitoring systems
  • Establish and implement HR KPI Reports relevant to each business
  • Develop strategies and mechanisms to aid each business in achieving and improving on their HR KPI's
  • Evaluate effectiveness of the reports and KPI's against the Group and individual company strategies and work with relevant parties to amend or change where required
  • Ensure continuity of the HR team day to day activity
  • Plan and coordinate development of HR processes to improve HR team efficiency
  • Support the HR team in day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties as and when necessary
  • Coordinate HR development of the HR Team, Senior Management and Directors
  • Provide input and support for executive and HR related meetings
  • Ensure suitable provision to deal with requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Support group companies in setting and maintaining expectations/standards required by the Group and individual company strategies
  • Develop content and deploy HR related development programmes including coaching, mentoring and training frameworks
  • Develop and implement framework to Identify employee training and development needs in relation meeting job requirement and positioning for future progression
  • Implement processes to evaluate effectiveness of all training
  • Identify and uphold standards for training sessions relevant to HR (induction, policy changes/implementation, interview techniques, conducting investigations etc.)
  • Adopt and drive safe working practices in line with current Company procedures and to undertake appropriate training in Health and Safety
  • Lead in driving equality and diversity in the workplace by helping to deliver services which are accessible and appropriate to employee needs
  • Work in partnership with Senior Management to ensure the vision and direction of the organisation is cascaded throughout the Group
  • Lead the HR team in establishing and maintaining excellent ongoing working relationships with colleagues throughout the group companies
  • Monitor and evaluate key training requirements and key behavioural competencies of the HR functions and evaluate HR Staff performance
  • Undertake any other duties, as requested by management, commensurate with the grade of the post

About you:

  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Highly developed inter-personal and communication skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within the business
  • Ability to build, lead and motivate a skilled team to meet objectives and agreed targets
  • Good IT skills, in particular media packages, website construction, social media, spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong decision-making and attention to detail skills
  • Understanding of coaching and mentoring and how to facilitate this for others
  • Understanding of EHS with a strong emphasise towards employee welfare
  • Degree preferred, HND, BTEC/CIPD Professional Level 7 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 7 qualifications
  • Previous management experience at a senior level
  • Previous experience of working in Human Resources at a Business Partner level
  • An understanding of the Employment Law, Employee Development and Motivation, Change Management
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
