Page Personnel are recruiting for a permanent Payroll Executive position for a leading retail business based in Bury.

You will be responsible for overseeing payroll for some of our 30,000 colleagues, working with the payroll associates to meet key deadlines, and to make sure payroll is delivered right first time and in the right way.

Description

Payroll Executive duties include:

  • Overseeing the completion of payrolls that are part of a payroll service for 30,000 colleagues over 32 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls, over lunar and monthly payrolls.
  • You will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex queries from our colleagues across the business.
  • Supporting and training team members on payroll processes, and colleague queries.
  • Ensuring that payroll is processed right first time and in the right way, in line with internal policies and legislative requirements.
  • Measure the success of the team, looking for ways to continuously improve our processes and accuracy and, with the support of management, putting these changes into place.
  • Supporting key stakeholders and departments across the business and cascading data and reports as required.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in a similar role
  • Have experience of manual calculations including SMP and SSP - Essential
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Be familiar with payroll software
  • Have excellent MS Excel skills
  • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator

Job Offer

A salary up to £30,000 based on experience, study support, 28 days holidays (including bank holidays) and rising with time served, staff discounts, discounted gym & on site canteen.
