With a growing portfolio of clients, our London based US Tax boutique client are seeking an experienced and driven US Tax Director to join the team and lead the expansion of the US Business Tax department.

Dedicated to providing exceptional tax advisory services, we are looking for a visionary US Business Tax Director to join the firm and spearhead the growth of the US Business Tax department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with US business tax compliance (including 1120's, Fund reporting and Transactions experience), and possess a strategic mindset to drive the department's success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the US Business Tax department, providing strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of US corporate tax returns (e.g. 1120 forms) and related filings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the US business tax practice, including identifying new business opportunities and building strong client relationships.
  • Provide expert tax advice to clients on a range of US business tax matters, including tax planning, structuring, and compliance.
  • Stay current with changes in US tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients and team members.
  • Mentor and develop junior tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive tax solutions to clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in US business tax compliance
  • Ideally, CPA qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading a tax department or team.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US business tax legislation.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and seize growth opportunities.
  • Experience in a boutique or entrepreneurial firm is a plus (but by no means essential, candidates from the Big 4, Top 10 and mid-tier firms are also encouraged to apply)
