Financial Accountant (ACA/ACCA)

Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group are pleased to be handling the recruitment of a Financial Accountant role, working for fast growth business in the Northwich area offering hybrid working. Our Client is looking for someone who started their career in practice and is 1 to 2 years PQE. This is a role for an accountant who is on a trajectory path in their career. This is an exciting time to join this business with lot's of areas to expand your finance experience getting involved in various projects, process and system improvements as the business grows, and financial support around due diligence for potential acquisitions.

This role is reporting to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist the Financial Controller in developing and implementing the statutory reporting for the Group and consolidation
  • Prepare draft management accounts for review
  • Reporting and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining budgets/forecasts
  • Assist in annual statutory audit
  • Compile data required for tax computations
  • Preparation of all aspects of the statutory accounts and financial statements, balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Complete Tax computations check list
  • Analysis and interpretation of various channels of data to support key business decisions
  • Adhoc financial reporting
  • Various projects requiring advanced Excel work manipulating data to feed in to the management information
  • Continuous process improvement, a new system has recently been implemented so ensuring best practice
  • Lot's of involvement in project work around acquisitions
  • Adhoc project work such as IFRS conversation 2022/23

Skills/Experience

  • ACCA/ACA qualified, would either suit a first time mover or someone with a couple of years in industry
  • Must have proven experience in preparing statutory accounts and all associated financial statements
  • Must have good communications skills and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills essential

What's on Offer

  • £45,000 to £53,000 per annum (up to £55k dependent on experience and background)
  • Hybrid working

  • Company pension, employer contributes 3% of the basic salary subject to the employee contributing 5%.
