Shipping Agency Management & Analyst
Agency Management:
Procurement projects of new agents basis business expansion request
Assist in projects for termination of existing agencies / set up owned offices.
Managing Demurrage and Detention:
Collection in Third Party Agents in Europe and Africa To Project manage effective management of Demurrage and Detention collection.
Managing third-party agents in Europe and Africa to manage projects to achieve effective management of all
Third-Party Agents by:
Work closely with relevant Liner departments to ensure performance statistics are accurate and reported in a timely fashion.
Ensure Agency remuneration is in line with contracts and facilitate any disputes between the Agents.
Monitor Agent structure and ensure Agents are correctly resourced in line with Agents of a similar size and volume.
Skills, Qualifications and Expertise
The job holder needs to have a wider understanding of the Container Liner shipping industry and working practices in order to offer appropriate management solutions in all areas of the role (essential).
A proven track record for delivering accurate, timely reports would be an advantage owing to the varied number of statistical reporting required (essential).
Project Management.
Excellent time management skills (essential).
Good experience of shipping business more than 4 years (essential).
Good knowledge of container trade and commercial practice in Asia-EU-Africa (essential)
Experience in contract management
Ability to analyse data
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to establish priorities, organised to meet deadlines under pressure
Ability to work as part of a team
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
French speaking is desirable
English speaking - essential.
Maritime or Shipping Degree desirable (not essential).
