Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing and engineering sector, is searching for a RF Shift Technician to enhance their team owing to significant business growth. This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute within a brand-new state-of-the-art RF test facility located in Fareham. This role includes a dynamic and varied shift pattern to support 24/7 operational needs.
The shift pattern will involve rotating across two shifts (10am-10pm or 10pm-10am) on 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off basis.
Initial training will be delivered on a shift pattern of Monday-Friday, 37 hours per hour, 8:30am-5:00pm before transferring to the shift rotation after training
This role offers a salary of £26,000 per annum during initial training (expected to last up to 3 months). On completion of training, you will transfer to a rotational shift pattern and an additional 20% shift uplift will be added to salary (at a minimum). There are also additional opportunities for paid overtime not forgetting amazing company benefits

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of RF test services as part of a continuous 24-hour shift pattern, complying with both standard and customer-specific test plans.
- Maintaining control over the calibration status of test equipment throughout testing processes.
- Engaging with customers during attended tests and ensuring effective communication.
- Working closely with the Project Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and within scheduled timeframes.
- Accurately recording results and adhering to the company's quality procedures and providing clear shift-end reports.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant educational background (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering) or equivalent practical experience in an engineering environment.
- Basic knowledge of RF technologies, especially cellular technologies such as 2G through 5G NR, with enthusiasm for further learning.
- Effective interpersonal skills coupled with a professional work ethic and the motivation to be part of a 24/7 operational team.
- Familiarity with IT systems like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to document results diligently and familiarity with enhancing customer engagement and commercial awareness.
- Capability to independently access the work site, adaptable to various shift patterns.
