A market leading engineering business is seeking a Service Coordinator to join them in their Southampton team to support the team of technicians delivering services to customers. This is a business heading into a period of large growth, whereupon many of its teams are going to be expanded in order to launch their business journey into its next phase and grow their customer base as a result.

This role will be paramount to the expansion of the business, acting as a bridge between technicians and customers and being a face and voice of the business. The aim for the position holder is to maximise the productivity of the service technicians, thus ensuring a seamless and effective service is being delivered to customers at all times.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling work orders for technicians related to quoted and warranty attendance
  • Supporting the technicians with both delivery and collection organisation of equipment, products, parts and other necessities to ensure they can operate optimally
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring that all their questions are answered and that they have faith and trust in the business
  • Working collaboratively across multiple functions including sales, service and operations to ensure the best service is delivered and that customer insights are utilised effectively and appropriately
  • Processing invoices on time, ensuring that these meet the approval of the target limits that have been established
  • Providing reports and information regarding completed work orders to help funnel improvement and learning across the team and to support managers in understanding the current state of affairs

What you will need to Apply:

The ideal candidate for this role will be excellent coordinator and customer service professional, proficient with scheduling workers and work calls, and able to deliver a high level of customer service as required. Applicants should also have previous experience handling invoice processing and purchase orders as this is an important part of the role. Additional skills needed include a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and solid communication skills. Any experience or exposure to the HVAC, manufacturing or engineering sectors would be a bonus.
