Location - Watlington, Oxfordshire.
Job Type - Full-Time
Salary - £14-£15 per hour Guaranteed 40 hours per week, usually 60+ hours a week.

Overview:

We are recruiting for motivated and dependable Exhibition Stand Labourer to join our client's team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for assisting in the construction, assembly, and dismantling of exhibition stands. This role demands physical strength, a good work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction and Assembly:

  • Assist in the assembly and installation of exhibition stands, booths, displays, and stages according to design plans.
  • Use basic tools and equipment to assist in cutting, shaping, and fitting materials like wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Ensure all structures are secure and meet safety standards.

Dismantling and Storage:

  • Aid in the dismantling of exhibition stands and equipment after events.
  • Properly pack and store materials and tools to ensure they are protected for future use.

Transport and Logistics:

  • Help load and unload exhibition materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist in transporting materials to and from the exhibition site.

Site Preparation:

  • Prepare and clear exhibition sites, ensuring they are clean and hazard-free.
  • Lay down flooring and carpeting and assist in the assembly and arrangement of furniture and fixtures.

Health and Safety:

  • Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) on site.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including designers, project managers, and other labourers, to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or challenges during the construction process.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in construction, general labour, or a related field is an asset but not required.
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work from design plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily performed on exhibition sites, which may include both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and operating tools and machinery.
  • Travel may be required to various exhibition locations.
