Technical Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Technical Coordinator to join a regional builder based in Swindon. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

As the Planning and Technical Coordinator, you will:

Coordinate consultants and external agencies on planning, technical, and engineering design matters for development sites.

Act as a liaison between the business and local planning authorities (LPAs), building control, warranty providers, and utility/service providers.

Regular site visits to ensure alignment and progress on technical and planning matters.

Keep abreast of technical revisions relating to changes in building regulations and standards.

Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with current regulations and obtaining all necessary approvals.

Communicate with service providers for pre-construction utilities and services layouts.

Provide input on technical and design issues affecting development.

Organise necessary surveys, investigations, and reports.

Appoint, coordinate, and consult with surveyors, architects, engineers, and other consultants, managing fee scope and budgets.

Review technical and environmental data to provide cost-effective design solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven track record in planning, budgeting, and delivering residential new homes in a Technical role. Knowledge of Building Regulations, detailing, and construction methods. Familiarity with modern/economic build methods, efficient design techniques, and sub-structures. Full understanding of CDM regulations.

Full UK driving licence.
