Laboratory Technician/Manufacturing Operative / Harwell, Oxford / Competitive salary/12 Month contract
Are you an experienced Laboratory Technician/Manufacturing Operative with experience in a Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology Manufacturing Environment?
We are seeking skilled candidates to join our client, a leading Pharmaceutical Organisation based in Oxford. You will be working within the mRNA vaccines production unit, contributing to the production of safe and effective vaccines that make a difference in people's lives. In this role, you will operate production equipment in accordance with cGMP compliance and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate production equipment following standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation
- Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
- Participate in incident investigation and corrective action tasks
- Collaborate with QA peers for documentation closure and batch disposition
- Troubleshoot routine equipment and digital issues
- Perform routine basic equipment maintenance
- Maintain training records and documentation
- Flexibility to work off-hours and overtime if needed
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
Ideal Person
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
- University degree in pharmaceutical production technology or equivalent
- Experience with filtration, chromatography, and cold chain management is an advantage but not essential
