Ammunition Storekeeper

Are you ready for a dynamic role that combines precision, responsibility, and teamwork? As an Ammunition Storekeeper, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient picking, issuing, and back-loading of ammunition and salvage brass.

In this role, you'll be responsible for issuing and receiving ammunition demands promptly and accurately. Attention to detail is essential to maintain inventory accuracy. You'll also co-ordinate logistics for ammunition collection and deliveries will be part of your daily tasks, and effective communication is critical, as you'll liaise with Divisional Instructors on ammunition matters. Additionally, you'll assist in sorting of salvage, and you'll also prepare salvage and containers for back-loading efficiently and safely.

Handling all demands for issue and receipts promptly is essential, and you'll maintain accurate records. Your availability for on-call duties and willingness to work overtime when required demonstrate your commitment. Adherence to Security Regulations, Local Standing Orders, and ADSL Local Procedures is a must. If any ammunition is missing, you'll report it immediately to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Keeping the areas around the compound clean and tidy promotes safety and efficiency. Adaptability is key, as you'll carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the Garrison Stores Manager or Stores Supervisor.

Ready to join the team?

To be successful in this role you will need to have the qualifications of Authorised Representative (Road), Unit Ammunition Storeman and Forklift License; all of which can be obtained in post. A minimum of NVQ1 in Warehouse and Distribution, or equivalent, is essential, as is a Clean Driving Licence B Category.

A basic understanding of Health and Safety and good customer service skills are a must for this role, as is basic understanding of the Authority's regulations including DOMER.

Location: Warminster

Salary: up to £25,000
