Job Description
Our client has been a leader in the TIMBER FRAME SECTOR for over a century and prides themselves in being pioneers of Timber Frame Construction in the UK. As a company they provide an in house technical team ensuring all design, production, delivery and erection services are client focussed and sustainable.
Due to internal promotion, they are seeking a TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER to develop their sales of TIMBER ENGINEERED PRODUCTS in Central England.
Reporting to: MD
As TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER your role will be to build and maintain relationships with Regional / National Housebuilders, Construction Companies and Developers. offering product, sales, and technical support and to work and also to source new business
Key Responsibilities as TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER
- Research the market to find possible new business opportunities
- Work closely with the estimating team in submitting quotations
- Quoting and costing customer requirements
- Understanding customer needs and requirements, research accounts, identify key players
- Maintain & expand your data base
- Prepare and deliver quotations to the project and design teams
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Face to face selling and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge & experience in the Timber Engineering Sector
- Excellent presenting skills
- On site experience with Timber Frame
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Effective communication skills
- Customer focused with sound commercial skills.
- Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook
