Service Advisor

Jobstore are looking for a service advisor for a client in Bury.

The role of service advisor will include:

  • Greeting Service customers arriving on site for maintenance and repair
  • Receiving inbound service booking calls from retail customers.
  • Dealing with customer drop off vehicles for repair in a courteous manner.
  • Allocation of service and MOT work to individual Technicians - booking to a maximum efficiency.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and maximise profitability
  • Updating customers' requirements to workshop and workshop findings to customers.
  • Keeping customers informed re: costs and progress of their vehicle repairs.
  • Ensuring that all parts used are booked to jobs, that old units and warranties are noted on purchase invoices, and ensuring job cards are accurate, complete and updated
  • Processing payments from customers in person or over the phone.
  • Managing customers for their feedback and handle potential complaints
  • Managing and balancing the service diary
  • Taking care of customers and visitors once they have arrived
  • Ensuring job cards are accurate, complete and updated
  • Providing quotations, creating invoices and taking payment
  • Handling complaints and resolving where possible, escalating where necessary
  • Carrying out general admin and other tasks as and when required.

What you'll need:

A 'hands on' customer focused team player who will take complete responsibility for customers vehicles and their concerns and be able to produce industry leading customer service under pressure. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience gained within a fast-paced environment, and ideally within the motor industry.

  • A desire to go that extra mile to help every customer
  • Previous experience in the Automotive Industry (essential)
  • Good Negotiation skills (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills (essential)
  • Computer literacy using Microsoft office (essential)
  • Attention to detail (essential)
  • Self-motivated and a team player able to work within a well-established team
  • Previous Technical / Mechanical background (preferred)
  • Demonstrable experience of upselling (preferred)
