French Teacher

- Contract Type: Temporary (2nd September to October half term, with the possibility of extending to 20th December 2024). And with an opportunity to go permanent from January 2025

We are looking for a passionate French Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to extend and possibly become permanent for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator who can deliver high-quality teaching of French to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative French lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
- Foster a love for the French language and culture among students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the languages department and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in French.
- Experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Strong understanding of the French curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
